This Brisbane wedding day started with a first look at New Farm Park. I know a few tucked-away spots around the park where, no matter how busy the day is, it can still feel like you have the place all to yourselves.
It was the perfect setting for the couple to see each other for the first time, enjoy a little time together and capture their wedding portraits privately before heading to the ceremony.
From New Farm Park, we made our way to Alter Albion for their intimate wedding ceremony. Tucked away inside a gorgeous converted mill at Craft’d Grounds in Albion, Alter Albion is such a unique option for couples wanting a smaller Brisbane wedding. The space has beautiful timber floors, soaring cathedral ceilings and plenty of lush greenery, with all the styling included.
One of the things I love about Alter Albion is how easy the whole experience can be. The venue specialises in intimate, registry-style weddings for up to 50 guests, and being located within Craft’d Grounds means there are restaurants and bars right there if you want to continue the celebrations afterwards.
For this couple, it meant a relaxed afternoon that flowed beautifully from private portraits at New Farm Park to their ceremony, canapés and plenty of candid moments with the people they love. Unlike a traditional registry wedding, where you and your guests generally move on shortly after the ceremony, Alter Albion gives you space to linger, celebrate and actually enjoy the moment together.
And Roxy, Alter Albion’s owner and celebrant, definitely delivers ceremonies with heart. It’s a lovely option for couples who want the simplicity of an intimate wedding without it feeling rushed or impersonal.
